A natural at making his characters feel comfortable be it in cinema or advertising, Julio’s work exposes the intimacy of humanity giving insight into quotidian life in a very natural and passionate approach. Julio studied Directing in New York and undertook two courses in Directing Actors with Adrienne Weiss. Together with his brother Daniel, he co-directed and scripted the short film Qué Hablas Mi Amor (2013), garnering the Best Director Award at the BAFF Film Festival. He was then selected for the New Directors Program of the film Rio I love you, and has recently released a collaborative feature film Pagliacci in cinemas in Brazil. He is currently working on a documental series On the Shoulders of Giants, interviewing world-renowned thinkers and artists over 75 years of age, such as, Sonny Rollins, Sir Jackie Stewart, Gilberto Gil, Agnes Heller among others. With a strong vocation for Branded Content, Julio has created original contents for Samsung, KLM Airlines, Boticário, Bank of Brazil, Unimed, and Caixa Seguradora. In Brazil he collaborates with Bossa Nova, having joined BRO’s international directors roster for representation in Europe and abroad.
